Taste my poison

I'm taking toxicology this semester, and I was pleasantly surprised to discover that there is a plant that shares my name:

Acacia georginae

Fittingly, it is highly toxic. Some clinical signs are convulsions, cardiac arrhythmias, and sudden death. The seeds are also very palatable. Acacia georginae: Sweet but Deadly!

Spring Break
